ratings thingy

I added this ratings thingy on the page. Apparently voting 1 to 4 will crash your computer. So I would stick with 5 stars for now until I figure out what's wrong.

Open letter to Mats Sundin

Hello Mats,

Can I call you Mats? I hope this doesn't offend you. The last thing I would want is to be responsible for you not signing with Montreal. I'm writing this in the hope it can help you take your decision.

I've heard rumours that your first choice could be the New York Rangers. How could this be? It's a well known fact that this organization hates orphans and puppies. On the one side you have a loving and caring organization like Montreal that saves puppies and orphans all the time. On the other side you have an organization that stands for evil and everything that's wrong in this world.

I would think that if you are the decent and good person I know you to be, you will chose Montreal.

It's really important you take your decision soon. Life in Montreal is at a stand still. The streets are deserted and people are running out of food. Normal life will only resume once your decision is taken.

Please Mats. Go with your conscience and take the right decision but just don't forget the orphans and puppies.

Do you know what monkeys do when their team is down by 5 goals?

If you're squeamish dont look.

Here's what they do when the team wins that game 6-5 in a shootout.

That was an unbelievable experience. And Gary would like you all to know he moved Ryder back on the "untouchables" list.

The list

Last night Gary mentioned he had a list of Canadiens players he considered untouchable. I was pretty surprised today when I asked for the list and realized he had actually carved it under his left foot so he could smuggle it out of the rehab clinic.

So here is the list.

  • Angelo Esposito
  • Steve Bégin
  • Christopher Higgins
  • Saku Koivu
  • Andrei Kostitsyn
  • Sergei Kostitsyn
  • Tom Kostopoulos
  • Alex Kovalev
  • Maxim Lapierre
  • Guillaume Latendresse
  • Tomas Plekanec
  • Bryan Smolinski
  • Francis Bouillon
  • Patrice Brisebois
  • Mathieu Dandenault
  • Josh Gorges
  • Roman Hamrlik
  • Mike Komisarek
  • Andrei Markov
  • Ryan O'Byrne
  • Mark Streit
  • Cristobal Huet
  • Carey Price
  • Mathieu Aubin
  • Jimmy Bonneau
  • Kyle Chipchura
  • Andrew Conboy
  • Matt D'Agostini
  • Brett Engelhardt
  • Jonathan Ferland
  • Olivier Fortier
  • Mikhail Grabovski
  • Janne Lahti
  • Corey Locke
  • Ben Maxwell
  • Duncan Milroy
  • Max Pacioretty
  • Ryan Russell
  • Andrei Sidyakin
  • Gregory Stewart
  • Cory Urquhart
  • Ryan White
  • James Wyman
  • Andrew Archer
  • Mathieu Biron
  • Mathieu Carle
  • Cameron Cepek
  • Jean-Philippe Côté
  • Marvin Degon
  • David Fischer
  • Scott Kishel
  • Konstantin Korneev
  • Andrei Kruchinin
  • Ryan McDonagh
  • Phillipe Paquet
  • Joe Stejskal
  • P.K. Subban
  • Nichlas Torp
  • Pavel Valentenko
  • Yannick Weber
  • Alexei Yemelin
  • Yann Danis
  • Jaroslav Halak*
  • Loïc Lacasse

  • Any pick except this year's 2nd.

Now I noticed three things about this list. First Angelo Esposito is on it. So maybe all is not well with Gary after all. I'm really not considering mentioning Esposito not being Habs property at this point. I could only imagine the consequences. Second I think Michael Ryder is the only Hab property not on it and finally there is a little star next to Halak's name.

"But Gary, you’ve basically put everyone but Ryder on that list."

"Indeed."

"So how are they supposed to make a trade for Hossa?"

"Well that's just it. I'm still working on that package. But look I put a little "*" next to Halak cause I might consider including him. See the way I look at it I have Ryder a 2nd and possibly Halak."

"That's it? I think I heard that somewhere else before."

"Yes, yes. But it's all about how you package it. I've been playing with it. Changing the order, removing or adding one name and I think I'm almost there."

"Well ok. Let me know when there's a breakthrough."

Sigh...

Back on track?

Well it's been a while since the last post but he's back. From rehab that is. To make a long story short it all started after his disappointment at the draft. He wouldn’t sleep anymore so naively I gave him a couple of Valiums. It soon became a habit and then he started to experiment. At first you think it's all cute and you take a picture.

But within a matter of days it had all spiralled out of control.

He became a shadow of his former self and couldn’t function anymore. Even his porn finding abilities disappeared. It reached the breaking point when I found him lying on the kitchen floor unconscious while two crack whores where sifting through my wallet.

That's when I decided things had gone far enough. After all, what good is a defective hockey predicting monkey who cant find porn anymore? I drove him to the rehab center the following morning. But so he wouldnt forget the lesson I took a picture of his drug addicted self.

So as I was saying rehab is over now and I picked him up last night. While walking to the car I asked him how he felt. He said it was all like a bad dream. I wanted to reminded him that this bad dream had cost me a lot of money but I felt now wasn’t the time. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but after he had been mumbling to him self what sounded like "Hossa...Hossa" repeatedly for the first 15 minutes of the drive home (The first hockey related words coming out of his mouth in more than 5 months) I was somewhat relieved, kind of.

"So. You've been following the hockey rumours I gather?" I asked.

"Yes I think the Canadiens should acquire him" He replied.

"What do you think it will cost?"

"I'm still working on a package that would be good enough. But I did make a list of Habs I feel are untouchable. I'll show you tomorrow."

So...there you have it folks. I'll post his list as soon as I see it. In the next few moments I suppose.
